When did I get this old?
Yesterday afternoon, a girl I'm seeing proposed to me. It's arranged, she likes me, I like her, and most importantly, our parents like each other.
I'm not able to sleep now, thinking about what mom said. She was so happy, went into a lot of thoughts, and started remembering my childhood mischievous acts.
That, is what hit me hard. I still play mischief with my mom. Wherever she asks me to get groceries, I'll take a bribe, a piece of jaggery. I still lie down in her lap whenever I go home, or whenever she visits me. Dad still says "you're a kid, don't even know how to save". He never let me pay from my pocket.
Now I'm thinking, that little me, who always played around mom, who still plays around, grew up? Grew up enough to become an adult and marry?
Wow. Time flew by. Did you also feel the same way before marriage?
I know this is just a phase everyone goes through at some point, but man, this feeling is something special.

You are lucky to have a partner who loves you. Enjoy the times and maintain the similar relationship also with your Parents continuously.
Yes, This is a golden phase for you and make most of it ♥️

So happy for you man :)

Damm boi, you won at life bro 🧿🫂

From a loving family to a loving partner. You’re still young, and you’ll continue to be till you believe so. Rejoice as these are also gifts of life to your inner child.
Don’t forget to workout though, key to staying young.

On a serious note, things will start changing post mrg coz your priorities will now be shared. For a balanced peaceful life, shift to a near by place so that you can take care of your parents and the upcoming new family. You might not like the suggestion though but several years down the line you'll realise.
All the best anyways🍻

Bro.. do you live in a rented house all by yourself? Or living with your parents?
I own a flat in Bengaluru bro. Currently living by myself. Both of our parents are still working, they still have two more years to retire, so until then it's gonna be us two.

This put a smile on my face. Thank you for sharing @tenxengineer

So happy for you bro

Age, as they say, is a state of mind. We've all seen folks of 15-odd years who are completely serious in life...not just related to career (which is good) but lack the stupidity (stupid pranks, innocence etc) of younger years. And then there are 60+ year olds who prank not just with their childhood friends, but also their grandchildren. While it's good to be introspective and have such philosophical questions...my view would be to not self-doubt on the kind of personality you are, especially if it's not harming anyone else :)
Definitely, not a doubt. I'm confident, that I can handle, but, it's just a weird yet happy feeling that I wanted to express here.
