What's your office mandate?

I can’t stand open offices where I get forced to see the stupidity/random bs of other incompetent employees from various departments. Commuting takes 2-2.5 hours a day and most of the time gets wasted in the office environment because I manage to efficiently work and get things done fast. Other than that, I have to sit in a place of incompetence and no privacy - waiting for EOD to logout and commute in rush hour again. So no, NEVER going for WFO again. Not even hybrid. I’ve observed over time that my efficiency and quality output is astronomically greater when I take WFH compared to WFO because I’m able to do things in my ideal environment. Will always preach for WFH.
WFO all 5 days. And it has helped me achieve WLB immensely. I'm clearly able to set boundaries and ask people to FO once I step out of office.
WFH giving WLB is a big myth. I would rather be on the road for an hour instead of being available for my boss all day.

Ever heard of oncall? And ownership of product?

5 days a week is the worst. I'd resign, will work in dad's business. Hybrid 2 days is mostly doable. Full remote is the best, I can work on dad's business in free time.
I like remote work because you can be with your family and have some quality family time, in emergencies you could be there with them, in good times in bad times so yeah! For me its remote work always

Same for me, I've 5 days WFO. And my mother lives alone at home (my father passed away long ago). And now she's 50+ having health complications in such age is worrisome. I'd prefer WFH just to take care for her. And I'm 1500 kms away can't even go home on weekends.
