What's happening in Google?

Every other person I see on Linkedin/Fb is joining Google. Can anyone from inside shed some light here? How's the work culture and quality of life?

Reminded me of the good old days when everyone was joining Amazon.

Yeah my Linkindin feedback has someone joining google every now then with increased frequency.

I try applying through a career portal,but I still don't get any calls.

Google has reduced its hiring criteria dramatically from past 2 years. They just want someone who can clear their basic rounds and ready to join at low hikes. Attrition increased as well so just to balance the cost
