What you wanted to be as a child Vs what you ended up doing ?

I will go first - As a kid , I wanted to be a scientist , didn’t even know what a scientist would do but just thought they can do wonders. And then heard about Kalpana Chawla and that new term - Astronaut , who can fly that spacecraft into the space In the middle kept hopping from veterinary doctor ( because I loved animals specially cows 🐮, lol) to cricketer (obviously ) to army (Border movie effect ) By class 10th , settled with becoming an Engineer 👷, heard about IIT and chance of staying close to my dream of being a scientist probably with PhDs and stuff . Became an Engineer , did masters (M.tech ) to finally realise how tiring a scientific journey is . On top , to be at IISER , ISRO ; you need to go through the struggles of entrance exams to reservation to tough competitions even after you secure a job Over the years , have developed the desire to be an entrepreneur ; something I never knew while growing up At the moment , being a PM does give me a higher sense of ownership and accountability . Am I happy , only time can tell . Happy to know about your journey …

Wanted to join the Army but then realised I’m unfit, pay package & no backup at home. When corona struck the above weren’t restraining any more but I was over age. Enlisted for organ donation… now waiting.

I didn't know what to be, just knew one thing study well. Later, i wanted to be a pilot. But couldn't pursue it. My school principal wanted me to be a IAS officer. She advised me and my parents after 10th class. But neither I knew nor my parents were sure about IAS officer. Since I chose Science in 11 and 12th, most of my classmates were going for engineering I too went for same.
