What to do?!
I'm a resident of Rajasthan by birth. In july this year, I've joined a startup as SWE Intern at Bengaluru. Being from a college even below than tier-3 ones & still getting an offcampus internship+PPO(13LPA, 7 BASE) was really a good thing for me.
The internship duration is 12 months & after that there will be a performance review & then it'll be decided whether I'll be converted to a FTE or not.
But tbh I'm not liking bengaluru at all, language barrier, totally different food is making it tough to survive for long here.
I'm sure that at least for 3 months I'm gonna do this internship for experience purpose & after that I'm thinking to apply in other companies in the northern side of india so that I can be close to my hometown also & there will be no language barrier & food issues.
What would you have done if you were in my place?
One interview, 1000+ job opportunities

Go where you like bro, but tbh learning to live in different parts of India is also a valuable skill one should have.
It's not that hard to learn basic kannada words, food you can also cook yourself if you know how. Bangalore has decent options too otherwise.

Baat to sahi hai ye bhi.

I had the same feeling when I first joined in jamshedpur. Being a South India the culture shock was enormous. Traveled by train, once you cross into orrisa border , all you come across in jungle. Never had bhindi and potato combination. Durga Puja Chanda is a harrasment. They will set the rate and you have to pay up.
India is a collection of many cultures, unless there is support system it's very terrifying. If not itsl takes time to settle down. iMO atleast 1 year for the strong heart,

Got it, Thank you! :)
I know some people who are natively of Rajasthan have settled in Bangalore.
Also one of the good things about Rajasthani people I have observed is they can settle/they are present in almost every state of India.
And with time they know and learn the local culture and language as well.
If you think it's not working out for you then you can check elsewhere but IMO city should matter the least and the opportunities and the quality & way of life should matter the most in whatever extent possible.

Agreed :)

Hey hi! Totally understand the point of hating the Bengaluru.. I assume you moved recently/never moved out. Also the fact you have no issue with the company.
In a longer run all this stuffs doesn't matter much. You can't run just because you don't like the city, be comfortable being uncomfortable. I'm sure slowly you will find people, maybe colleagues.. Maybe a nice place to stay? Nice roommates? Nice places where you enjoy?
One thing I assure you is this uncomfortable experience are worth it (I assume you are wise enough to understand the extreme cases)
- you can start cooking your own food/maid, if food is an issue..! (But I think you must be living in a PG - where it can get tricky :/ )
Nevertheless just bear this phase, if the work & the experience is worth it!

I agree to your point fully, thank you for your advise :)
