What’s the chindiest cost cutting measure your company has taken?

One of my prev companies had placed a timing on the usage of coffee machine. You could only use the machines during the 10am-12pm to 3pm-5pm window.

1. No milk in coffee machine after 5 pm.
2. Collected money for Diwali celebration
3. Plastic water bottle as end year gift.
4. One laddo per head in 26th January.
5. Put Rs. 2500 fine against a lost cheap Dell mouse that I recieved 7.5 years back when I joined.

BYO coffee, since office coffee machine now vends only the shittiest coffee. Single item only. When I joined it was 7, and then every month, something disappeared.

Also they don't store video surveillance footage to save cost. How do I know? Some stole my stuff in office, no one knows. Theft is quite common. Literally chindi attitude of both firm and employees.

Recent grad student, though just before I left, the company replaced Oreos in the cafeteria with 50-50 Maska Chaska

Earlier, biscuits were kept as it intact in their packets. I often use to bring some packets back to my PG.
Now the biscuits are kept in jar after removing the package so that people don't take them home and eat only how much they want in office.
