What’s that one thing you happily overpay for? I’ll go first.
I pay my cook ₹18,000 a month. Just for cooking and basic kitchen management.
My parents visited me last month and almost had a heart attack when they found out. In our hometown, 18k is literally a fresher's starting salary. They gave me the classic "you techies earn too much and throw it away" lecture.
But let's be honest. I will never go back to the cheap 3k-a-month cooks who make floating-in-oil sabzi, take 5 unannounced leaves a month, and need me to micromanage every single tomato.
My current guy decides the menu, buys the groceries, and actually makes food that keeps me out of the hospital. After a brutal 10-hour shift at my company dealing with brain-dead escalations, the last thing I want is to come home to a messy kitchen and fight about why there's no salt in the dal.
Growing up middle-class, we are hardwired to save every single rupee. We’ll sit in Bangalore traffic for an extra hour just to save ₹150 on an auto. But once your CTC crosses a certain threshold, you realize peace of mind is the ultimate luxury.
What is your "shut up and take my money" product or service that you'll never cheap out on again? Let's hear it.

Rent. Because where you stay, must be comfortable, spacious and cozy.

What does the weekly Menu look like?

Better than buying on zomato and Swiggy, we can get 5 star meal at home

Vaise hai to overpriced

Still over priced even if you want good and healthy home food.

Agreed. This is a reality that a lot of Indians are yet to understand. Having said that, however much the market dictates, some of us are ready to pay what we feel comfortable with.
Some of the things mentioned are also not tangible.
Just curious to see what kind of things they are cooking.
