It's a generalist role, very closely related to a Key Account Manager role in my experience. Just that it's a little bit more technical, if hardcore sales is not your cup of tea and you're a non-techie but still want to work in tech, then this is the best available role. But the growth rate is also very low compared to a proper tech role.
