what I am doing wrong ? 500+ applications, 300+ requests in 1 month

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out here because I don’t know what I’m doing wrong anymore.

In the past month, after losing my job, I’ve applied to over 500 positions (SDE, Backend, DevOps) and sent 300+ referral requests on LinkedIn. Despite all this effort, I’ve barely gotten any interview calls, and no offers so far.

It’s starting to take a toll on my mental health — I’m dealing with anxiety and depression, and I can’t stop overthinking where I might be falling short.

👉 About me:

2 years of experience as a Cloud / DevOps Engineer (PTC)

Worked on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch)

Hands-on with Jenkins, Docker, Linux, Terraform, CloudFormation, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Git, Bash/Shell scripting

Backend skills: Java, Spring Boot, MySQL

SDE (Backend), SRE, DevOps roles
