What do we think? JPow with the rate cuts is going to get us some nice returns hopefully 🀞

Loving how 2024 is looking actually. Getting rid of my cash position and all in on equity. Plus, locking in the good interest rates FDs. Not seeing lucrative returns on FDs till the next quantitative tightening now.

Would love to know ur investment strategy for 2024 given that markets are at an ATH Are u planning on investing in any specific sector? Small/mid cap? Or nifty?

The plan is always simple.

For investment:

  • I average down every 2 weeks into the same set of large-cap equities all the time, diversified by sector. Allocations I review every year but I've set it up systematically so that I don't introduce emotionality in the process.
  • For managing portfolio allocation, 10% is always in NIFTYBEES as buffer with an additional 5-10% in cash.

For trading:

  • I don't do that anymore but used to buy NIFTY ATM calls post quantitative easing as BTST trades. Made good money at that time.

Will consider getting into US equities in 2024 now since MOTNAS ETF has an insane tracking error while PPFAS ops are under regulatory ambit.

I feel fed rate cuts are still 2-3 quaters away. Despite of that expecting Indian equities to the moon due to internal reasons and election enviornment.
