I can share my experience if that helps. Working at an established global tech company as a design manager.
- Meetings 30% time - calls including stand-ups, requirement gathering, alignment, removing blockers, and design review
- Reviewing work takes up 10-20% time - this includes reviewing work of junior designers and conducting Design Acceptance Tests
- Planning takes up 10-20% time - preparing project plan and managing bandwidth
- IC work takes up 30% time - includes scoping, UX and UI
- Strategy 10% - understanding product goals, watching user sessions, looking at data and reports. This helps me suggest updates to our product and push for design-led initiatives
- Team building and learning takes 10% time - includes hiring activities, finding courses/resources for team, chill fun sessions, etc.
I don’t do everything on this list everyday. It’s to give you an idea of things that I do and how much time share I give to each activity. Hope this helps :)

Wooww amazing, but you are a manager , I think iam way far behind from such position right now. But great points .
Cab you tell what as a deisgn manager expects from a junior deisgner with my years of experience?(1.7year), when you are hiring?

In our team we expect the following:
- A drive for design and learning. We expect young designers to come up a lot energy and enthusiasm. Should be open to learning (un-learning), experimenting, making mistakes and challenging the status-quo
- Good with communication; should be able to explain their ideas and understanding feedback. Share updates and work with team as per plan
- Basic understanding of design, ux and ui.
