Went on a 2 day fast.
TW: disordered eating
I just completed a 2 day water + electrolyte fast. It was super hard for me as I look into food for comfort. It's like a hobby, really.
The last couple of weeks were a total downfall, nutrition wise, so I decided to attempt an extended fast (I already do 16:8 on most days,)
You really realise how much your lives revolve around food by doing this. I work from home and it's even hard to not eat when I'm not hungry or stressed or bored.
You drink a lot of water. Heck, even after chugging 2 liters of water, my mouth was super dry. Might be because I eat a lot of carbs everyday and it was a rejection lol.
That being said, I was focused, felt more active, and had a lot more time to do stuff. Would try it again.
Fitness folks, what can I improve while doing such extended fasts? Any precautions to take? TIA!
Anyway, I cannot wait to eat food tomorrow 🤤

Do 20:4 first to ease up to what you are trying to do. Have flavoured hot water like green tea or black tea or any of those fancy teabag stuff to makeup for feeling of eating. And no sugar, or anything sweet including sweetners.

What electrolytes are needed?
