
Weighted vs Bodyweight pull-ups?
Hi folks! Male, 31, 5'10, 74kg. Training for a year. Doing 3 full-body workouts weekly. I progressed from bodyweight to weighted pull-ups. Should I focus on weighted or bodyweight pull-ups?

Yo! @RoyalGather5 Congratulations on your progress; if your goal is gaining strength and muscle mass, start increasing the weights in pull-ups. My personal best in pull-ups is BW + 40 kg * 4 reps.

What are weighted pull-ups? Do you wear a belt with weights on it? Or is there a machine for that?

I think its a weighted belt. because I have tried that machine and using weights on that means its easier to do a pull up lol

3-4 sets of 12-15 reps of bodyweight with slow and controlled motion would probably be your best bet. Most of the time when we focus on adding weights to pull up our form goes for a toss. Once you reach the above stage and build a solid mind muscle connection I guess adding weights would be helpful
