Wasn't promoted in this year's mid year cycle
I will be completing 3 years in January in my current company. Have not been promoted since joining. Prior to joining my current company I had a work experience of 2.5 years in another company..
I joined the current company for Bangalore location and then last year in may went for an internal transfer to delhi as I am from Delhi. Was not given any hike at that time.
And on top of that, got to know that a fresher who joined the company in May of 2021 was promoted in this cycle.
I reached out to my manager regarding the issue and she said I need to bring visibility in my team. And said don't lose hope.
Feel like shit and want to cry.
Plus I recently became a father so I thought the team would consider that and might give me promotion as that brings a salary hike.

I obviously don't have the full context, but you needed to have a discussion from at least 2 cycles before about your promotion and hikes. Usually it takes 2 years for a promotion and you changed teams/location so not being promoted isn't out of the blue here.
Nonetheless if you feel strongly about this you can always look out for new roles. You can also try to be more communicative and clear of the projects and duties that you're working on to your manager in the future. All the best!
