Transitioning from IB Ops to Startups
Hey folks, I currently work within MS working in the Investment Banking Ops team.
I have 2 YOE and my CTC currently is ~15 LPA.
I am looking to switch to startups, because I feel my current role and industry just does not excite me. Typically want to move to Biz/Ops/Strategy roles within Early Stage startups.
Any guidance for me? How can I break through?

I think start by making a list of good startups, with runway (the ones that raised in last 1 year), and the ones that are hiring
Start reaching out the hiring managers/mid/senior folks there via cold DMs, show that you are enthusiastic, and make a good case to stand out
Very few roles currently, but good talent always makes it. Just be methodical and you should find something. Once you're in, switching across startups is always doable.
