Time to move out of the country?
We all know what has happened. How unsafe it is for a woman to literally do her job, earn an honest living, etc.
For the past few days or months rather, I have been thinking of moving out of the country just to experience freedom. Of course, the thought of it also reeks of privilege and the fact that I'm able to choose whether or not I should stay in the country is also reflective of that. I'm aware of the fact that things wouldn't be as rosy abroad as people paint it to be, you have to leave a lot of comforts etc.
Today is independence day. And I'm so conflicted. I'm generally a very patriotic person. I have always loved my country. It's hard to like it these days.

Where will you go ? Europe is also dealing with the migrant crisis. In America , not even the ex-president is safe , you have school shootings , drug epidemics , expensive healthcare, unaffordable housing.

Guys pls ignore these kind of posts and stop commenting on them. These are just some bullshit harvesting some engagements.

If country bashing helps you feel better then do it.
But India is one of the safest countries when it comes to any kind of crime: https://www.datapandas.org/ranking/rape-statistics-by-country
If tomorrow a murder happens in Hyderabad would you leave the city?
This is not the first horrendous incident happening in India or any country of the world, so why are you not already settled abroad?
Btw middle east is the safest country for anyone, but there are gender based restrictions too. Generally more free societies and more democratic countries have higher crime rates.
I hope instead of voicing your agendas through this incident people should have empathy towards the girls and force the dictatorship of West Bengal to punish the criminals even though they are from the ruling party.
