Thoughts on the Apple Neo?
I think as a company they introduced an affordable entry point, they integrate users into the ecosystem. This creates a trap where the logical upgrade path leads the consumer to purchase more expensive hardware, like a MacBook Air, in the future.
Coz lets be real a laptop with 8gb ram and a phone chip is not future proof

apple isn't selling a future-proof machine here. it's selling an affordable first kiss with the ecosystem. once that works, the upgrade path starts feeling less like a choice and more like gravity.

Bringing in students who will later turn into earning individuals and then upgrade their neo to air or pro. Solid way to go ahead honestly

Given the condition of windows recently, it'll sell well. The build quality, memory management, OS, battery, everything is better than a windows laptop in the same budget

Gotta agree an average student and someone who uses it for light work will definitely get everything done easily and also having that βappleβ status on them. Definitely see it selling well in India

I am thinking of getting a budgeted laptop. I was going for windows, but since neo has launched. Does anybody think I should buy Neo? I am a junior UX Designer, who has just started working. Does anybody think it's reliable for the future if I buy Neo?

Can go for it, deepdive into every laptop review ever in your budget its such a fun experience and you get to learn alot too

Dude, you can get a much better windows laptop for the price! I'd suggest look into snapdragon plus/elite laptops if you don't plan on doing serious gaming.... If you prefer MacOS, she'll out a bit more or go for an old gen Air...

Will sell like hot cakes given how terrible Windows 11 has been. MacOS is leagues ahead of Windows.
