Jokes aside, yes. Cheap tactics for funnel optimization dilutes brand by a crap ton and makes me not want to buy from a brand that looks so fishy.

As for the cohort I am part of, my argument is that Meta optimizes for what people around me are searching for, and it’s a function of my coworking space :)

Agreed. Such ads definitely impact brand perception for me personally. If others feel the same, brand dilution might be legit. Consumer brands need to manage a tough balancing act between performance vs brand.
