Thinking of creating ethnic brand for men(d2c)

Market research - my father takes over a running shop. We sell kurtas, tshirts and shirts. It's been around 9 months. We are tracking and will close the financial year to 50-60L. This shop is in tier-3 town. We have a separate shop which just contains only kurtas. So if we consider the whole of India then the potential is huge. There is no brand like manyavar who play in the range of 1000-1500 in ethnic brands. I have checked Myntra but the designs are just meh compared to my shop. How do i validate my idea and how to do market research for my idea.

Thank you

  • product (what should we launch with)
  • positioning (segment)
  • pricing
  • how and where to get good manufacture...

What's a D2C brand from India that you really like?

For me - Mokobara, Chaayos, Chumbak Looking to understand Indian brands that have done really well, and understand if it's the product being superior or brand/marketing being an outlier

Ankur Warikoo. Ashneer Grover. Piyush Bansal. They should be in the lost too. Direct to Chutiyapa brands.
