The worst culture initiative at my org
Our HR decided we needed a better workplace culture and introduced this thing called Mandatory Unwind. Every Friday at 4 PM they block our calendars for a virtual dance party on Zoom. You have to keep your camera on. If you turn it off the HR business partner literally pings you on Slack asking if you are feeling disconnected from the team.
Last week my manager was screaming at me over a P0 bug. The clock hit 4 PM and we both had to drop off to go watch our VP awkwardly bop his head to a Spotify playlist. I went right back to fixing the prod issue at 4:30 while pretending the last 30 minutes never happened.

Sounds like a humiliation/ragging ritual

Yeah… I have seen HRs do things like these which are more of forced thing than voluntarily and maybe a very few are interested but rest aren’t.
Sometimes, I do feel that HRs probably aren’t required for any organization to function. One example I see is Telegram. Anyways they are more of a support function and AIs should probably replace them.

Developers should never be contacted by HR, this should be a crime.

That shld be embossed on a tshirt and worn to work on Fridays

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Paise ke liye kya kya karna padta h 😭
I'm so shy , I'd probably give a voluntary resignation lmao

Sounds like something Trump would do

Haha this is crazy. By the way is HR dancing with you guys?

Oh my god
