Have been through a similar situation. At work, you both cannot be the same as earlier, you will have to respect her title. So the bestie part will happen after work. And she will do your appraisal and pull you up for your mistakes, you both need to be mature. It is going to be tricky. Else get a new job, the relationship stays.
