
The obsession with 3 AM Slack messages needs to die
Saw a VP post a screenshot of a 2:30 AM team huddle recently like it was some massive flex. Bhai that is not passion, that is just terrible project management.
Idk when the startup ecosystem decided that destroying your circadian rhythm for some random fintech or e-comm app was a badge of honor. They label it being "mission driven" or having an "owner's mindset" but it just translates to working 14 hour days for ESOPs that are basically monopoly money.
The worst part is how normalized this hustle BS is now. If you actually log off at 7 PM to hit the gym or just exist outside of work, management looks at you like you committed treason. You get quietly labeled as someone who lacks drive. Honestly it is just a giant cult where the only reward for bleeding for the founders is more weekend work.
