Terminated via PIP

I am a senior software developer in ABB india. I have been selected for performance improvement plan because of my slow deliverables for the project commitments. I have given a plan of action for a duration of one month. Based on my performance during that time decision will be taken for my termination. I want to know what happens in this case? Will I get terminated instantly if I fail in PIP?

If at all I get terminated because of PIP will they mention the reason in my experience letter. Will it affect my future job search?

You can always opt to resign. The reason for termination is never disclosed to other companies even during background check.

Most of the time PIP is always an excuse to terminate the staff in question. Better start searching for new job and documents everything they say and do
