TCS C1 to C2 Grade process after 4 years
Anyone knows what is the process in TCS to get the grade from C1 to C2 showing overall experience as 4 years. In TCS i have 2 years as of today. Please guide if someone knows how to apply for C2 grade and eligibility criteria for the same.

Since you said you joined 2 years ago, i assume you have a good pay (compared to your peers in your project). Considering that and only 2 years in TCS, the chances of promotion is highly unlikely.
You cant apply. You need to talk to your manager. Your manager wont say No.
Your manager may tell you that he is ready to raise next quarter. Then he will tell you there is no promotion for next quarter. Then he will tell you that he raised the promotion but it is yet to be approved. He will tell you for a few more quarters that it is pending with Corporate/HR.
You can ask and get to know the response but dont take the response seriously.

I am having 6.5 year's of exp. Still i am in C1 from when i step into tcs from 3.4 yrs. Its 3 years now in tcs , the c2 request was raised 1.5 years and its still pending with HR, if your manager push to delivery manager to send recommendations to HR then you will get within a quarter, if not. Then be in C1 until unknown period like me.
I don’t have any clue about grades in TCS. All I can share is without a proper experience, you won’t get promoted from one grade to another. Bohot saarey companies mein toh they also take interviews just to see if they are worthy of this upgrade.
