1 Crore is not a very big amount, and it's certainly not enough to retire on.
If the amount is 5-10 crore though, then I could consider retiring early.

Out of 1 Cr 30 % flat tax , 4% cess and 10% surcharge has to be paid. So remaining amount will be some 65 lac that comes to hand. It means nothing when coming to my job over a period of 10 years. If amount is 10cr I can think of quitting.

Its always difficult to reach 1 crore benchmark. If you get that upfront then if you are smart you can invest in right channel to generate more money but it certainly not a retirement money but it will give you sence of security.
