Suggestions for buying a house in Bangalore

Hello folks, I want suggestions from you'll as I plan to buy a house in Bangalore. I don't see myself leaving the city anytime soon and I am fed up with the tenant owner scenarios here. Though my preference is a gated society, my budget is that of a standalone building with security. Places I had in mind are Bellandur, HSR, Koramangala and Indiranagar. Do you know of societies or have invested recently in real estate that can be bought? Any good societies that you would recommend? My future goals are simple. I want to have a house, a car, a couple of bikes and some money to retire so not with the mindset that I would buy a better house later on.

Please guide the noob here.

Thank you. As I said, I don't see myself leaving the city. It has its challenges but I don't see any other tier 1 city which is better in comparison. Thank you for your feedback though

Just my personal 2 cents: HSR, Bellandur and Koramnagala already over priced. Any specific reason not to look outskirts, as the city explanding rapidly and you want to stay after retirement.

I am pretty young and all the companies I have worked in and even will work are near these areas. I don't want to move to the outskirts and do a 2 hour travel per way every day. Hence, the choice as I will be working for the next 20 years minimum

I'm curious, at what age/yoe does one start thinking about buying a house etc? Just starting out my career.

Thank God there are folks who don't just come to take out their frustration here. I think it is more of a mindset. I have been in Bangalore for many years now. I started thinking about it when I had been here for only two years but wasn't sure if I would continue in the city. Then I thought about it during Covid when the prices were way cheaper but then went home and was again confused. And now is the third instance. But then, I am also sure this time because I want to finally settle down.

Hold on. By mid 2027, we'll see a 40-50% dip in prices as most of the crowd will move out to smarter cities

With that budget go for premium builders. Sobha/Prestige/Sattva. But I doubt you will get at your desired location.
Check on water source it's bore/tanker/Kaveri. Before buying verify the documents with lawyer. Ask on how they manage STP. Load sanctioned 3/4 kv and on power backup. You mentioned different vehicles so check on parking availability as each flat will have their respective parking space. Ask the builder on registration of the property whether e khata has been done or not, when the registration will be done.

Do not take in gated society. If still thinking then read all the rules for example if you need car ev charger some may not approve and even after owning home you would be abiding by their rules which won't look you own but someone lives by their rules. Now it depends if you buy small apartment or individual its still better

By individual do you mean house with land? I don't think such areas are even remaining in Bangalore

Skip Bellandur at any cost. Its too overcrowded and several constructions going on here and there making it a lot more polluted and dusty.
