Startup are brutal
- Fancy talks from founders such as ownership, independence, building for next generation, speed etc
- Learn new tech
- Glofiying working at odd hours
- Don't talk about stress and anxiety
Start ups are not for weak heart and normal humans who have life after work. It's only for people who will give up their life to build somone else dream. Prove me wrong.
An ex ola person cried infront of me for the workplace stress and unrealistic push

Olaaaa is a 💩💩 Don't ever join that shit and if there pls leave asap. Sw*ggy has also become something similar....continuously degrading since last two years

Swiggy, I keep hearing it a lot. Is it due to their new leadership? Can you give us your POV

In can atleast confiirm about tech. It's degraded a hell lot. Multiple silent PIPs, layoffs, no salary hike, toxic work culture, too much pressure. Hell lot of politics....Whatever you see on social media is pure show off.

Imagine working for a healthcare company where the ceo regularly schedules meetings with any employee he chooses and bullies them on any topic of his choosing. This topic of abuse never makes sense .. ranges from the expression on your face to testing your ability to stay numb to his constant nonsensical yelling. Oh! He is doing it cause he cares...

Which company is this?

In interviews, I have made some CEOs/CTOs feel nervous. Now after reading your comments, I feel good about it.

lol. Indian banks make you cry too. And I have seen such things in fmcg brands. Global investment banks are also pretty bad. Not restricted only to startups

FMCG brands are terrible!

Ohkayyy... This is a half truth... Only the Marketing people in FMCG are the ones who cry the most... Rest have it pretty comfy.

I saw nowadays even service base companies face this issues. They're also overloaded with bunch of different workload. Those who don't have probably are fired or lucky.. Everyone are under same roof dear!

I was fired (start up) last month 8th. I have till this month end. No back up so far. I’m studying though! I think preparing aptly and getting into a product based MNC is a good option!
Also in a future event of getting fired I would never be disheartened or discouraged! Would just move on to a better place and make wiser decisions!!
Love to all of you hustling out there!♥️

I have around 5yrs of startup only experience (sharing for better context)

Thanks bud! Feels lighter talking to others! :)

It’s a free market. If they don’t pay you enough for the stress and other issue, one can always leave.

Yes. Leaving is an easy choice which many can't do it quickly due n no of reasons. Market aint good too.

That is absolutely right. If an employee has many issues and the job market is down, a startup won’t be motivated to pay more money.
Not siding with a company, it’s just how a free market works I think.
