Starting a content agency! Advice, tips, words of wisdom please ππ»
Have worked in multiple industries leading and setting up content teams. Marketing content, long form, short form, all of it.
Wanted to explore if having my own clients would be a better deal? In terms of exposure, money and flexibility?
Also how do you land clients? I am open to start with freelancing before going all in.
Thoughts and suggestions please ππ»

I have worked with multiple small agencies in last 6 months. All had hired freelancers and outsourced work to them. They directly start with execution without understanding the client, their business model, their audience or end objective. All are focused on delivering number of content pieces irrespective of outcome/impact to the client. My advice would be
- Know you client, business, audience and end objective
- Do not outsource, even if you hire, pls be involved
- Keep some variable fee on the basis outcome (engagement or sales) have some skin in the game for the benefit of client. It will give you exponential returns if you are good at your work.
- Use latest tools and tech. Not many agencies do that even after knowing
- Start as freelancer
