Software Engineer to Product Manager

I am a software engineer with 2 yrs of experience. I am kinda fascinated with the developing idea of project than developing the product. I want to switch to product management which I think somehow doing it my current job except giving the idea.

I like to innovate solutions and implement then in the real world and I want people to use it. I think this would be the right path to get started into it.

Doing an mba is also good option but I think moving to pm role will be a good option . It’s to crack it but not impossible.

I am not sure how the feature would be for this career.

Definitely you can move to pm role and having a past software development experience will give u an edge , you only need to make your analytics and business game stronger which you can pretty much do through online courses and other resources. MBA is also a good option and i would say , you should do that to enhance your networking and brand value, target those tier 1 colleges where product cohort is strong like ISB, FMS Delhi etc.

Transition to PM role🧐

I am a Software Engineer(3-YOE) and want to transition to Product Management role.

Does the ISB PM certifications help us in any form for that or regular MBA is required to get the role.
