Silent Layoffs at Airtel Digital
About 25% of Airtel Digital totalling to about 100 employees- the part of Airtel which houses IQ, Wynk, XStream, Ads and other new digital incubations have been silently told their roles have been made redundant. Includes product , engineering and design resources. All new incubations such as Airtel Video IQ and Gaming are being closed. Some have managed to find other roles within the main Telco part of Airtel, but most leaving. Culture has become toxic, and Airtel is doing this silently with no severance except the 1 or 2 month notice period. HR providing zero support except threatening people to resign.
