Should I switch or not?
PM at a series A startup. Get a chance to work on great product. Spent 6 years so most of the esops are vested. Got an option to switch to a large MNC in product team. MNC is not a Faang but a second tier B2B one like Salesforce, atlassian, Walmart, ServiceNow types.
Salary range: current 68; + esops Future opportunity: 95 including rsus

Unrelated, but what does a PM job involve?

Asking updates on tickets and scheduling scrum calls.

Great work at startup, have a potential to make it multifold but it will come with it’s own uncertainties

Which startup?

Can’t name it. Sorry

Behen tu 68 pe already ud rahi hai, aur bol rahi hai "Should I switch or not?" Aise posts dekh ke hi aadhi Grapevine ki janta therapy dhundh rahi hai. Switch kar le, par pehle hum sabko bata de kaunsa startup tha hum bhi apply kar lein! 😭😂

Arey bhai sach mein inputs required teh.. not to induce any fomo

You will have life moving to mnc than staying at startup

Why do you say so?

I haven't heard about a startup which gives our space, to have a life. Except weekends in some cases. Mnc with all the rollout process, allowing voice to commit to a work if we can do in a decent time it works. Allowing us to have life in most cases unless it's amazon where there is a startup culture. Do you mind sharing which mnc though?

You won't like it at MNCs, some start up are amazing in terms of everything. MNCs at higher level is bureaucratic bullshit which you won't like.

Sorry its offtopic, could you pls share how much does Amex pays to Data Analyst at 3 yoe?

Depends upon Band level, but all I say that it could range between 15-20.

Better to avoid any MNC. The culture is pathetic

Unless it is product based

Sort of product based. But not a great product

Total yoe? Is it your first company

- Nope will be 4th if I switch

?

Switch… its a no brainer. It would be a holistic experience for you getting to know both the worlds.

Do you feel CRED doesn’t give you holistic experience? Just asking if you worked at both MNC and CRED, why do you feel MNc gives holistic exo
