Should I leave the team or company

It's been 4 months since I am at amazon I saw more than 7 people leaving the team and in my team they don't give proper KT nor guidance and expect to reach the estimates timeline. I know still more people are trying to jump to another team or company because of this kind of environment. And one of my colleague who joined recently did some blunder mistake in prod and they literally created a big scene in front of everyone. Obviously it's not correct to give the tasks directly without any proper KT. If we ask for KT they say we don't have go sage or search in broadcast bla bla... I'm literally fed up should I leave the company or shall I change the team?? What other team is also the same??

I would recommend to hold on for as long as you can. Do not quit without a job in a better company in hand.
The job market is not so great and Amazon experience on your resume has its own value irrespective of their work culture.

My thought is kaam gya tel lene, paisa chapo bs. Layoff bhi krenge toh doosri miljaygi job koi na koi. Kaam samajh me aye toh krdo ni toh boldo ni ho rha hai, ab apne aap team change krenge ya htayenge. Mere pichli project me hr 2 mahine me ek naya frontend dev ata tha or poorane ko nikal dete the because client ki expectations imaginary the according to service based skill people. Ek dev 6 mahine tika tha but usne bhi chhod diya. Still unko samajh ni aarha hai ki dikkat qa hai

People leave all the time in Amazon. I don’t see anything surprising here.

I had an offer from Amazon myself, I did a bit of research on the team and knowing what I know, 3 months later I can say good riddance

Reading these instances of existing employees not supporting new joiners, it feels like they are afraid to lose their job and hence they are not doing KT. Why would existing team members not do KT?

DizzyBanana
DizzyBanana

Because everyone are busy in there own work if we ask a KT they say we will provide and then they dont

It all depends upon prioritization, seems management is not interested in KT happening

Why don't you use this opportunity to learn, create dependencies and then become the go to guy of your project? Why are you already wanting to quit? Take some responsibility and accept the struggle. If someone doesn't give you any KT or guidance go through the documentation yourself and understand what needs to be corrected.

Toxic teams aren’t worth the stress. First, try switching internally—ask around about better teams (check Blind/LinkedIn for reviews). If that fails, start applying outside. Amazon on your resume still holds weight.
