Should I get a Playstation 5?
Firstly, a bit of background about myself: I'm a 24-year-old senior software engineer living in Bangalore, working in an early-stage startup. I make close to 2L a month.
Since my childhood, I've always wanted a PlayStation, but my parents never got it for me, saying I had to study and stuff.
Now, I can afford to get one, and my parents are not going to stop me, but my girlfriend is against me getting it.
I just want to know what you guys think. Should I get it and fulfill that childhood dream?

If I ever make as much money as you're making, I'll buy ps5 and xbox both. Ps5 for exclusives (Spiderman , god of war etc.) and fifa, and xbox for all the other games, because of quality and performance both.
Also xbox game pass is affordable so you don't have to buy games. Which is huge savings.
Off topic but any tips to accumulate skills to become a SSE @ 24 in a startup?
Be really open to solving new problems and don't shy away from things because they are difficult. If you do this consistently, you can be an SSE/SDE2 even before you are 24.
PS. Optics are also important, so make sure people notice your work.
You can also think about a Nintendo Switch. It gives you portability and can be used as a handheld device.
I bought a playstation 5 when i was 32. I couldn’t afford it before. It was the best decision. And since i have not played any ps 4,3 games, i have a lot of games to play from the extra catalog don’t have to buy any more games too.
