Should I even bother applying for a switch in data engineering at 1 YOE?

At almost 1 YOE, 7 LPA remote role but very less workload and growth. I only use Postgres in my job but have basic knowledge of other tools through self learning ( like Airflow, DBT) and am strong with Pandas as well.

I invest and save majority of my salary. When trying to switch out, I only see jobs with max 6-8 LPA salary for 0-2 YOE data engineering that too WFH. My savings will half if I switch to these roles even for 8 LPA

FAANG level companies can obviously give me the salary growth, but their JD is populated with so many tools that is impossible to acquire at my YOE unless I use them in my job ( which I don't) . I can self learn but obviously the depth won't be enough to clear interviews

You can get more pay, once you have a higher skillset and exposure to development. Get Coursera premium(i got it for 8k/yr last year) and properly finish off the courses with project work. Build a portfolio and personal brand through github, show your ability to architect systems. You will be able to get roles using this. Do LC. Do it the smart way. Learn what sells in interviews etc.

Yeah I have Coursera premium already. Completed IBM Professional Data Science and Data Analyst Certification( I am fine with both daya analyst and data engineering jobs) . LC only strings, lists and arrays required for data jobs right?
