Should I buy the iPhone 17 or go for an older model?
I’m a frugal person and have been using my iPhone X as my daily driver. Its battery is completely degraded, and the phone feels quite laggy and sluggish. I’m planning to buy a new one but not sure if I should go for the latest iPhone 17.
I’ll be travelling to the US at the end of this month and plan to buy one there. I might also consider a used iPhone 17 to save some money, but I’m wondering if it even makes sense to go for that model or look at older ones instead.
Is it really worth spending that much on a phone, even though I tend to use my devices until they stop working—just like my current one?

Base 17 is really good now. 120 hz display and same screen and camera as pros, only telephoto missing.

The differences are negligible unless you're a professional video creator or smn.
I have the 15, suggest you get the same cos it has c type port. Or 16 if you want the ai features. I find them to be bullshit only.
Can you afford it? Yeah if you don't have any debt or liabilities.

If you can afford then go for previous. If you can't afford go for 17 🙂
