Shifting from Tech (Data Scientist) to a Founder’s Office Role: What Should I Expect?

I’m considering a career shift from my current role as a data scientist to a founder’s office position. I’m curious to learn how a founder’s office role typically evolves over time.

What does the growth trajectory look like in such roles?

How does the payscale generally evolve for business roles compared to tech over the long run?

What is the typical ceiling for business roles in terms of compensation and career growth?

Would love to hear from those with experience in similar transitions (tech to business) or founder’s office roles. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

It depends if you are looking for skill up then no use .. but if you plan to go into management then this is the best you can get … when you take up a role in founders office or any c suite offices .. you will be understanding the business n its operations .. and the growth is multifolds.. you will end up running a business unit in some years which will be a VP position.. my take .. if you are being offered take it …

Just make sure that you don't get suckered into a role that looks high prestige but reduces optionality down the line.

What motivated you to make this decision? And overall how many years of DS experience do you have?
