Shift to Dubai or stay in India.
I have a total of 12 years of experience. Out of which I was with the same company for 10 years and worked in pre-sales, sales and marketing. For the later part of the career in this company I worked in Marketing along with managing Salesforce and HubSpot. My current package is INR 31 LPA.
I’ve recently received an offer for a Sales Operations Manager role in Dubai. The position involves sales data analysis, building reports and dashboards, and working with Sales Director. The compensation package includes AED 300k per year, plus child education benefits and a bonus.
While my current role in India offers stability and growth, I am facing a challenge in securing a significant salary increase due to the lack of team management experience, which is essential for further career advancement in marketing
I am currently weighing the decision: Should I accept the opportunity in Dubai and transition into a sales-focused role, or continue my career in marketing here in India?

Buddy, from that 300K AED you can easy cover your expense and can still manage to save 30L yearly which is your current LPA.

Bro, I received an offer from TCS, I’m considering joining them but my only concern is that in TCS WFO is mandatory and weekly 5 days we have to go to office. Is this 100% mandatory or not, also what would happen if we don't go 5 days office??

You will receive variable pay according to your attendance. If suppose you have 70% attendance in a quarter then there is some 10-15% in variable pay I don't remember exact amount. People have suffered this. Earlier in Mumbai people used to go and tap to their nearest location and finding these loop holes. Now they have came up with new solution as minimum 4 5 hours employees have to spend in the base location office.

Just move out bro get that bag and came back to India in 5 yrs. Move all your investments to UAE and get tax benefits.

Hey, my sister and brother-in-law (and a lot of his extended family) have been living in Dubai for 15+ years. So I’ll add a few things you may want to consider/research more on before you decide:
- AED 300k sounds impressive, but that’s only 25k a month. Which is not very much for a family of 4, considering the expenses in Dubai. However, you did mention additional child education benefits and bonus. So try and get more information on whether there’s a limit to child education benefits or will they reimburse anything, no questions asked. I also don’t know how many kids you have and how old they are, but my sister has kids 14 and 10, and extra-curricular activities and all are expensive, not to mention they can only afford DPS (CBSE) for them.
- There’s a decent bit of discrimination in Dubai against Indian passport holders (in terms of pay). There’s almost an unofficial ceiling to how much you are promoted in an organisation (and therefore, how much you can earn). And while Indian-led/ Indian-run organisations might not have that issue, they make you do donkey work. So, it would be preferable if your offer is from an MNC, where things are more likely to be standardised. So, definitely try and speak to some existing employees and find out more about that bonus.
This said, I will also add that quality of life will be generally better than in India, and even a DPS education in Dubai is probably better than an average mid-fee/high-fee private school in India.

Don't think twice and move

Runaway as fast as you can.

UPDATE: The offer might not materialize because of new diversity hiring policy that is in the process of implementation. Still have a chance but very slim.

Even with 2nd thoughts that's a great opportunity. Good for it.

Dubai is generally very expensive compared to India, but the quality of life will be much better. Do your research before moving.
