SDE 2 - should I move to Dubai?
My wife is earning 27.5LPA in a very easy going, good policy, great culture product company in Bangalore. Her skills are in Frontend developer in React js, Salesforce lightning
With our current combined compensation, we are not able to afford a house in any metro or tier 1, school fees are very high for poor quality education, very expensive insurances, rents and no quality of life
If my wife wants to move to Dubai and find a job
- How likely will she get a job in Dubai with these skills?
- How much will she earn, average pay in such roles
- What will be the work life balance?

Without any second thought move to Dubai and after sometime you can take your parents as well. The best thing about Dubai is it is tax free and it is well connected with most parts of India. You will get world-class infra unlike our viswaguru. And you won't be regretting it.

With wife earning 27.5 lpa and you earning 27.5 lpa, you feel bangalore is not affordable? Sounds strange.

Everyone’s wondering here true it’s more than 50lpa income bro

Bro my team is full of 40-60+lpa (base/cash) unmarried folks and none of them believe Bangalore is reasonably affordable.
If someone feels 50lpa is ok, they either don't live in the ORR belt, or they're okay living with a substandard life (in terms of things within reach - house/furnishing/car/schooling etc)

You combined income is more than earn 50LPA
You can afford good lifestyle here

Bro, the ₹3-6LPA schools in BLR have average to bad teachers & curriculum. I studied in one of the best schools in Jharkhand but paid barely ₹6-10k/yr(which is still a lot for those times), it hurts to pay so much and get back so less in return.

Amount of ignorance here is shocking. 27L is lower middle class? This just means you’re unable to control your wants and living a lifestyle unsustainable for yourself. I live in Kalyan Nagar, have 1 kid, and our total monthly expenditure is 1.2L.
Combined we earn 46LPA, bought a house for 1.2cr by ourselves without support. We eat out only 2-3 times a month, order less from Qcom, and our biggest expenditure was 40k for rent until 6 months back (now it’s a 70k emi). We still make time for travel once every 6 months. Grow up and be more responsible with more money and your impulsions, if you’re staying here.
Into your question, Dubai is a great option to emigrate to. No taxes, solid lifestyle, although it’s hectic there too - people work 10hrs regularly. Stay there 5-6 years and you’ll save a lot for your family - but improve your habits before moving there otherwise you’ll reduce your savings potential and how that really helps you improve your family’s life for decades to come. All my best to you.

27.5 lakhs just by your wife puts you in lower middle to poor segment in Bangalore. It’s hard to afford middle class lifestyle in Bangalore with that income.
Each wife or husband should earn 50LPA to fit into middle class. So pls leave India and go Dubai.

Just to confirm, this is sarcasm right? Hard to distinguish these day

If you are looking for a metro why not in Kolkata..that's too cheap..50 lpa is more than enough with luxurious life style

Kolkata is unstable, unsecure compared to other states, also less opportunistic state, I would suggest Hyderabad, living is cheaper there.

Kolkata has hardly any good product companies apart from big4, also it's politically unstable .
I would suggest Hyderabad, i have been here for more than 9 years and seen the city develop

No 👎
Avoid any Gulf country, no freedom, stay here and be part of booming economy and increasing stature at global level.

Hey man, not sure if you guys have gone thought any job portal for a job in Dubai. But what i have observed is the Dubai market is more inclined on full stack. Most opening are on the full stack side than the frontend side. So if that fits well for her then well and good.
Second advice, approach consultancies for jobs and rely less on job portal entries to convert into real jobs.
All the best
