Scam via Uber Application

Recently I got OTP to login Uber account, I didn't shared to anyone. After I got notification that someone logged into it. I opened the app and checking some settings and in details page, I observed phone number got changed and with in a minute email id also changed and Iost access to my account. The new details were some disposable email id and phone number. When I tried to login again with my details, its started showing like new account. I reported the incident to uber via helpline and they says payment details are encrypted so nothing to worry. What I don't understand is why would someone do that to uber account?

Did anyone observed same problem?
