Salesforce India hiring

Recently I have heard of Salesforce India hiring aggressively across engineering roles. Now some say that they are even skipping OAs for some candidates. What business demand is driving this hiring whereas others are doing layoffs. The one unit that's hiring is Industrial Applications.

I am thinking of applying there but scared that this might be hire and fire situation. (I am being optimistic that I will be able to clear the interviews)

They fired a lot of folks in Jan this year. Must be firing in US and moving those roles to India.
