Yes, in my earlier company, , i got a 20% raise when my team got laid off, but I wanted to quit so they added 20% more to variable (which was 100% given). I stayed back due to huge hike.

Was offered empty promises. "Oh we'll try to match the offer" but then they did nothing and just increased my workload during my notice period

Many of the colleagues from my team had put down their paper recently and what I heard is that there is hardly any attempt made to retain, it's just a simple ask why they are leaving and that's it. Mostly the people are leaving for better growth and to escape the toxic managers which company is aware of buy sadly no attempt is being made to make situation better 😕
