Reliance group Jio Cinema failed big-time.
Hotstar manged 6-7cr users. Jio or sports 18 group can't manage even 2cr users.
they should poach hotstar team or get AWS services...

That's view not viewers, there is a difference
On Jio Cinema It is showing total reach not concurrent viewers.
Concurrent viewers means people watching at a given point of time (which was shown on Hotstar)
Now some genius at Jio Cinema decided why not we show views, i.e. the total number of people who viewed even one frame of the match. But the problem with this is that this will never decrease during the course of the match 😂 Hence they stopped showing it now.
Hotstar took a year to move to a better architecture. The previous was built by accenture, and couldn't scale.
They became better when they started to treat it as a product
Jio already poached many folks from hotstar.

Hotstar did not do well. Their stream quality was so bad. Looked 480 p pixelated.
Their tech is bad but to be fair i have seen a match with almost 20crore live viewers as well.. they really need to make the platform reliable ..
Jio is most probably going to accquire Hotstar. Disney's contract is ending with hotstar and they might not plan to renew it.
