[Rant] Logging off at 5:30 PM is not "stagnating"
I am so sick of LinkedIn influencers and startup bros telling me I'm "stagnating" because I log off at 5:30 PM.
I work at a stable MNC. I do my 8 hours, deliver my work, and shut my laptop. But apparently, if I'm not grinding 14 hours a day to fund some founder's new Audi, I'm a "quiet quitter" who lacks ambition.
Let's be honest. You guys are ruining your mental health for a 10% hike and free Swiggy coupons, while flexing your toxic hustle in Koramangala cafes.
My CTC is decent. My peace of mind is better. Stop glorifying corporate slavery.

This I'm understanding now. I'll take 1lpm okay maybe 1.5Lpm over these crazy salaries man. I realised as my CTC is getting increased and in-hand pay my workload is increasing exponentially I work in a startup yes. Currently pulling 11hours on avg and 10 most days. But last few days I'm logging off at 11pm man. This is just too much I log in at 9am. With increase in salary I'm not able to do anything other than job!

I was neither getting peace of mind nor money after working 12-14 hrs every 7 days (yes, including weekend) in Infosys. By god grace, got offer and switched.

No it's actual work when on release days and escalation when server has issues. Yesterday we were fixing some services and handling backfilling for our client the backfill script runs for 6-8 hours man because of importance of historic data
Tbh Everyone has different priorities some wants to chase the money, some peace of mind etc
I own a commercial space in a metro city. Currently I work in a MNC AMC in a product role which has somewhat similar work culture as yours in the digital product management space. I believe job mein dikkat hua toh home town jaake will start my kirana or pharmacy store. Will never join a startup and hustle until and unless I absolutely need to. Everyone should choose their own pace and no profession is bad. Just believe in these 2 things and keep doing what you do

I am getting close to 1L/pm and i am very happy with the pay, even if I decide to spend I end up spending 10 or max 20k in a month , have no financial burden, we have our own house too
Live feels sorted but then ppl start comparing salaries or look down upon me as if I have done crime working at tcs
