Railways Ministry Orders Removal of Stampede Videos

• The ministry cited ethical norms and X's content policy, requesting action within 36 hours to remove sensitive media depicting deceased individuals.
• A new protocol now requires station officials to get clearance from the Railway Protection Force before allowing trains to arrive at platforms 8 to 16.
• The ministry's notice is part of its new authority to issue takedown notices directly to social media platforms under the Information Technology Act.
