Purchasing macbook pro
Hi Guys I want to purchase a Macbook Pro M4. Looking for discounts. If any kind people can get an employee discount that will be a big help.
Tried: I do have an ICICI card. But the limit is low to get an instant 5k discount. I cannot use the card. I got this card for this purchase only. So I cannot increase the limit. Wanted to purchase it with no cost. So I applied for a Bajaj insta card. But there is an initial limit of 50k. After making a purchase for the 1st time there is an option to increase the limit. Constrained by time. I am unemployed. So I am trying to save money. But I need the laptop.
I am happy to receive help. Thanks

Bro, if you're unemployed, why are you buying an expensive computer like a Macbook?
Buy some cheap computer for Rs. 20-30k, and install Linux on it, and use that for your learning and interview preparation.
You don't necessarily need a Macbook unless you're doing iOS programming. Don't waste money on such a needless expense when money is tight for you right now.

Thanks for the advice bro
I already have one working computer which is about to die. Iam actively applying for jobs.
But in my past jobs I was severely constrained by the compute setup. In one of the startups my frontend webpack time was 3-5 mins compared to colleague's 30s.
Also the startups I worked in they didn't give laptops. Will be working in startups mostly seed & above.
In the past whatever money I earned I spent on home & other things. I regret not investing in setup which helps in earning more.
I know One's skills are independent of computer.

Also I used ubuntu thought out.

Get the M1. It's still good. I don't understand why you are going for the latest one, even though you seem to be on a budget constraint, and not actively earning. You can even get a windows laptop or maybe a DOS laptop with good specs and install linux or windows or hackintosh build, whatever you prefer.
