Product Manager vs Program Manager

I have been lately curious about the two PMs (Product Manager vs Program Manager). If anyone can help with answer to these questions that would be great

Does your company have both roles? If yes, are salaries for both on par. If not, who gets more salary

Tech PMs usually have more knowledge focus on technical aspects.

So one PM will focus on business and user side

The tech PM will focus on infrastructure / reliability/ API designs etc. a sort of mini solution architect with a business mindset

Product Management or Program Management?

What would you advise to a B school grad with 5 yrs basic tech experience

Which one has better future scope and longevity? Which one might be obsolete in the future? Which one pays better?

Or am I comparing apples and oranges 🤨

With over 10+ years of experience in Product management within the insurance and Fintech sector, I’ve realized that product management is still not understood/defined well as a role. I’m open to all sort of queries.

Very cool How is it working at PolicyBazaar? Does the product evolve a lot? How do you folks look at Acko?
