Preparing for UPSC
Hey everyone, is there someone here who's preparing for UPSC? I'm pretty sure I'll be pursuing it but the job leaves no productive time for it. Hence I'm considering leaving the job to pursue UPSC full-time. Just wanted to get some opinions from the community on it.

What's ur age? What's the backup plan? You have emergency fund? For preparation? Or u don't care any points above mentioned..as ur Richie rich??

I'm 24 rn with 2 yoe.
Backup plan would be to start something of my own, since I'm certain I won't be satisfied with just having a corporate job.
I don't have a large corpus, but I can manage around 4 years on my own.

I would say spend atleast three months in getting to know what the exam wants once you are in track go ahead this boosts your confidence but let me tell take a decision fast or else time is going to slip away and procrastination hits too much later on

UPSE, among other competitive exams in India, is cutthroat. Especially if you don't fall under the reservation quota. Wouldn't suggest quitting the job. If you're determined, make time while on the job. Your plan B should infact be your plan C. Take this time to draw out a proper plan C - hazy assumptions won't get you anywhere. Find clarity.

Many ppl have wasted their useful years during preparations of UPSC…. However my cousin sister and her husband cleared in their 2& 3 attempts…. But I know many ppl just wasted and after 30 they didn’t get job easily and few of them still didn’t get job. So think and try it’s completely waste I am not discouraging you at all. But don’t revolve around UPSC.
