Preparation for Machine Coding/LLD

Having two questions. Preparing for sde2 roles, 3.5 yoe.

Do I need to also implement rest apis or jpa or etc, apart from writing code? In case yes, then should I need to pratice spring or springboot here?
Should I have to always think solution with some design pattern implementation, or not needed?
