gonna be tough D2C sector performance has been terrible 5-6 years in. every vc i meet nowadays says D2C investments underperform badly.

Whats the criteria for pre seed investment in D2C nowadays? Agree that with barriers to entry so low and ever increasing CAC, majority of companies have performed badly in recent times.
