PMs with 10+ yoe, how do you plan your careers?

Would be great if you can share somethings that you've learnt it the hard way especially on topics like stakeholder management (dealing with engineering/ execs/ founders/ P&L team), learning/ upskilling, switching internally/ externally,...

I now realise that if you become a PM in one sector (say B2B SaaS), then it is not as easy (as marketed) to just switch to another, even at the PM level (let alone SPM or higher).

Where do PMs go after they peak?

By peaking I mean arriving at a GPM or Staff PM position at the top 10-15...
